10 FOR 10 (HBOT TREATMENT GRANT)
Healing Brainwaves is awarding ten recipients ten HBOT treatments, with two slots reserved for veteran/active duty/first responders, two for the BIPOC community & two for students. A total value of $15,000 in treatments is going to the Santa Cruz community. Applications open June 1, 2026, and will close on July 15, 2026. Grant recipients will be notified via email on August 15, 2026. Recipients will have one week to accept their grant. If we do not receive a confirmation of their acceptance, the grant will be awarded to the next in line. It is the applicant's responsibility to check their email and respond. Be sure to double-check the junk folder. The first round of applicants must reply and accept their grant by August 22, 2026. No exceptions.
If applicants do not receive an email with an award on the 15th, they may still have a chance of receiving the grant if those who were awarded do not accept. The second round of awards will be sent on August 23rd.
We will not notify you if you are not awarded a grant program. We will not answer emails regarding your grant application.
Requirement:
Must be able to receive treatment in Santa Cruz.
Must be able to complete all 10 treatments consecutively over a two-week period
Must be 18 years of age
Must be cleared by your doctor to undergo HBOT
Must have experienced a brain injury and/or PTSD
Before you start your application:
1. You must provide a brief statement (500 words) describing your current circumstances and why the support you are applying for would help you access care at this time.
In your statement, you may wish to include:
- Any recent changes affecting your financial or medical situation
- How would this support impact your health, recovery, or ability to function day-to-day
- Any barriers that make access to care difficult right now
2. You will need clearance from your medical team to use HBOT. Please consult your doctors before applying because you will have to confirm that you are cleared to use HBOT.
3. Optional, but highly encouraged: You may provide a letter of recommendation, written by someone other than yourself, on your brain injury experience and why you need financial aid to access HBOT.
